Bonnie & Maude was a monthly film podcast that ran from June 2012 to November 2015, in which hosts Eleanor Kagan and Kseniya Yarosh took on films and television shows from a femme-centric perspective.

Topics ranged from classic rom-coms like When Harry Met Sally to surprisingly entertaining B-movies like Hard Ticket To Hawaii. The key: keeping a sense of humor and an open mind while delving into memorable cinema both old & new.

Some female-led film podcasts that you may enjoy in addition to Bonnie & Maude:
  • Faculty of Horror - A horror film podcast based in Toronto, hosted by Andrea Subissati and Alexandra West. Well researched, funny, and thoughtful.
  • Loose Canon - A relatively new film podcast, centered around films that are considered classics by many female film enthusiasts. Hosted by Caroline Fulford.
  • You Must Remember This - An extremely educational yet entertaining film history podcast by critic, author, and journalist Karina Longworth.
  • Read It And Weep - A "good podcast about bad books, movies, and TV." The lead hosts are 3 dudes, but the podcast often features female guests and covers a wide range of media that is not gender-specific.
